The Design Process
Here’s how I’ll be working with you to design and deliver a garden you’ll love;
STAGE 1: Initial Site Visit and Measure
I’ll arrange a time to come and meet with you on site where we can talk through the list of requirements you have for your new garden, the sort of style, colours and textures you love – and how these can be incorporated into the overall design.
I’ll also need to take some notes and basic measurements to size up the space.
Time requirement: 2 to 3 hours
STAGE 2: Concept Plan – Drawings and Review
These will then form the initial sketches which will develop key concepts, areas and the overall layout of your garden.
You’ll have the opportunity here to provide feedback, and help shape the final design.
Time requirement (Concept Plan): 8 weeks
Time requirement (Design Review): 1 to 2 hours
STAGE 3: Master Landscape Plan – Drawings and Handover
At this stage in the process, your finalised landscape documents will be prepared and presented to you at a final handover meeting.
At handover you’ll receive a printed and digital copy of the following documents
- LDOC – Master Landscape Plan
- LDOC – Planting Plan (Canopy)
- LDOC – Planting Plan (Understorey)
- LDOC – Master Hardscape Plan
- LDOC – Outdoor Lighting Plan*
- LDOC – Reticulation Plan*
